Cheesy potato rosti / Ziemniaczano-serowe rosti.

cheesy potato rosti

Sorry for not posting often! I’m quite busy lately because we’re about to move to our own house very soon, somewhere by the end of this week so everything is literally upside down. Cardboard boxes should arrive by Wednesday and I can start packing all the stuff. We should exchange contracts on Thursday/Friday so I might not be here for a while, there is awful lot of cleaning and painting ahead. I just hope we can survive this! Wish me luck and keep us in your prayers that everything goes smoothly! I’ll leave you with lovely recipe for cheesy potato rosti with Marmite (not everyone cup of tea I guess!).

CHEESY POTATO ROSTI

(recipe by Matt Tebbutt “Guilty pleasures”, with my changes)

Ingredients:

  • 150 g cheddar cheese, grated
  • 120 g gorgonzola cheese, crumbled
  • 600 g potatoes, peeled and grated
  • 1 whole egg and 1 yolk beaten together
  • 2 tbsp Marmite
  • 1/2 tsp onion granules
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • salt & pepper, to taste
  • serve with: smoked salmon, capers and creme fraiche (optional)

Method of preparation:

Preheat the oven to 160 C. In a large bowl combine together grated cheddar, crumbled gorgonzola and grated potatoes. Season with salt & pepper, onion granules and garlic powder. Brush the base of non stick and ovenproof pan with Marmite and press in mixture of potato and cheese. Bake in the oven for 50 minutes or until throughly cooked and golden on the top. Serve with smoked salmon, capers and creme fraiche.

ZIEMNIACZANO SEROWE ROSTI

(przepis Matt Tebbutt z książki “Guilty pleasure” z moimi zmianami)

Składniki:

  • 150 g sera cheddar, startego
  • 120 g sera gorgonzola, rozdrobnionego
  • 600 g ziemniaków, obranych i startych
  • 1 całe jajko i 1 białko jajka, zmieszane razem
  • 2 łyżki Marmite (ekstrakt z drożdży)
  • 1/2 łyżeczki cebuli granulowanej
  • 1/2 łyżeczki czosnku w proszku
  • sól & pieprz do smaku
  • podajemy z: wędzonym łososiem, kaparami i creme fraiche (opcjonalnie)

Sposób przygotowania:

Piekarnik rozgrzewamy do 160 C. W osobnej, dużej misce łączymy ze sobą następujące składniki – ser cheddar, ser gorgonzola i starte ziemniaki. Doprawiamy solą i pieprzem do smaku oraz cebulką granulowaną i czosnkiem. Dno nieprzywierającej, żaroodpornej formy smarujemy Marmite, na to wykładamy mieszankę serowo ziemniaczaną i zapiekamy w piekarniku przez 50 minut aż ziemniaki będą dokładnie ugotowane a wierzch rosti będzie podpieczony na złoto. Podajemy z wędzonym łososiem, kaparami i creme fraiche.
