I think everyone know I’m slightly obsessed with bacon. I cook it at least couple of times a week but what most annoys me the fact that frying it on the pan sets of my smoke alarms and they go on and on like crazy until I find a stool high enough to reach them, by this time half of my neighbours are probably wide awake (I wake up very veeeeeeeery early!). I was looking for an alternative to frying especially that it isn’t the healthiest way of cooking and though I would give baking a try. Luckily for me it worked out perfectly and now I have delicious crispy bacon without messing all the hob and setting the smoke alarm off 🙂
- slices of smoked streaky bacon (as many as you want)
Preheat the oven to 200 C. Lay bacon flat on either foil or baking non sticky paper. Bake in the middle of the oven for 15-20 minutes (depends on how crispy you want it to be). Halfway through baking I turned my bacon strips over so that every side is baked evenly. Remove from the oven and place on a paper to cool.
