Tis’ the season to catch a cold and in my household, my family and I do our best to stay healthy. As someone who loves food, I like finding ways to make something tasty out of ingredients that help keep me healthy. This is why I started making immune-boosting juices.
Immune-boosting juices are easy to make and allow you to get the benefits of all the nutrients packed in vegetables, fruits, herbs, and spices without having to eat them. Juicing not only helps your body fight off colds and illnesses, but it also boosts energy levels, reduces inflammation, and helps to detoxify the body.
What makes these juices so beneficial is that they contain a lot of antioxidants and vitamins, such as vitamins A, C, E, K, B6, folic acid, and magnesium. These are important nutrients that support your immune system and help protect you from common illnesses like colds. I typically incorporate green leafy vegetables, citrus fruits, root vegetables, and herbs into my juices.

In addition to the antioxidants and vitamins that immune-boosting juices provide, they are also incredibly easy to make. All you need is a juicer or blender, some fresh ingredients like fruits and veggies, and a few minutes of your time.
When winter comes around, my go-to juices are filled with immune boosters like garlic and ginger, which contain powerful antiviral and antibacterial properties. The combination of the two helps to strengthen your body’s natural defenses against colds and other illnesses. I also add turmeric, another potent anti-inflammatory that has been shown to help fight off colds, while also helping to reduce inflammation in the body.
Berries are also a great addition to juice as they’re filled with antioxidants and Vitamin C, which help support your immune system and fight off infection-causing bacteria. I usually add blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, or even goji berries for an added antioxidant boost.
Finally, I add some greens like kale or spinach to my juices, which provide vitamins and minerals like vitamins A, C, E, and K that help support your immune system. The combination of the ingredients in these juices makes them an effective way to keep healthy during the cold winter months.

Making immune-boosting juices can be a fun and tasty way to stay healthy during the winter. It’s also an easy way to get all of the nutrients that are packed in vegetables, fruits, herbs, and spices into your daily routine. So, here are three of my favorite immune-boosting juices that you can try out this season:
What Type Of Juicer To Use
While there is much debate in the juice community over centrifugal vs. masticating juicers, I tend to lean toward the centrifugal juicer because of its convenience and affordability. Centrifugal juicers are great for making juices quickly, as they use fast-spinning blades to extract juice from fruits and vegetables. These juicers are also much more affordable than masticating or cold press juicers, which can be quite expensive. I use the Mueller Juicer Ultra Power because of its wide feed chute that allows me to add large chunks of fruits and vegetables, which makes it super easy to make a large batch of juice quickly.
